A career-based survival game
Crafty Survivors is a profession-based arcade game. Each of the heroes or crafters has a unique career and their own set of skills. In this game, you will have to protect your home from being invaded by hordes of monsters. Get to unlock new crafters, towns, and more as your level increases.
Crafty Survivors is developed by Flannel Bear Games and it has been cited as a well-made iteration of other adventure games like Bullet Heaven and Vampire Survivors. The varied characters and their own personal attributes are what gave this game a nice spin on the overly saturated genre.
Diverse cast of rogue heroes
You will start with the chef as your main crafter. His abilities range from slowing down enemies by shooting them with salt to slashing them in half with his precise knife cuts. As you eliminate your enemies and gain more points, you can unlock the other crafters: the seamstress, the sculptor, and so on until you’ve freed all of your rogue heroes.
Crafty Survivors’ developing gameplay gives it excellent replayability. Since there are tons of elements that have to be unlocked there’s no room for idleness. Plus, the promise of new characters and their intriguing skillset will motivate you to keep playing. It is also applauded for its high animation count. If you like games that have detailed pixel artwork for their graphics, you will appreciate what they did with this one.
The combat mechanics, however, are confusing. As mentioned, the heroes have more than one skill, and figuring out how each works can become overwhelming. Additionally, since the crafters’ combat moves vary from the rest, you will have to familiarize yourself with each signature weapon and fighting style of the characters. You will have to be quick on your toes in learning their best moves.
The action never stops
Crafty Survivors is a treat for gamers who have a soft spot for action-packed pixelated arcade games. It has so much variety from the main characters to their weapons and skill set. You also won't be stuck in the same area because you'll be able to explore new towns as your level progresses. Just be quick in learning your heroes' strengths to increase your chances of surviving.
